Today our team wanted to have a quick chat with a male in connection with a report of criminal damage. Unfortunately, he wasn’t particularly keen on speaking with us.
After failing to stop in his van when requested, he decided the best option was to continue the conversation on foot.  🏃🏼‍♂️ 
What followed was a fairly lengthy foot chase, with officers demonstrating varying levels of enthusiasm for cardio. 😫 
Thankfully, with the assistance of our shift colleagues, the male was eventually caught up with and arrested.

I’ve established one important thing today… I don’t like running, and it hurts. Quite a lot. 😅
So for my sake (and yours), if we ask you to stop, please do. 
It always ends the same way… in custody — just sometimes with slightly more running involved.

As a result of this incident, a 37-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of:
• Failing to stop

• Driving whilst disqualified

• Criminal damage

• Two counts of shoplifting
